The second hero to take the Big Ben name, Benjamin Wathers volunteered to serve in secret British military experiments. Using the sonic powers he gained, he defended London during the second World War, and when he realized that his aging was being slowed as well by his powers, decided to tour the world. He arrived in Liberty Bay just in time to join a fight between Liberty Inc. and some villians, and has stayed ever since. Big Ben absorbs nearby sound, projecting it from his hands as plain sonic
energy, concussive blasts, focused rays that can cut thru steel,
object-shattering high-pitched wails, and so on. He used to need a loud sound to
kickstart his powers, and used Big Ben's bell for the pupose, but he now has
miniturized speakers in his costume that serve that purpose.
